Houston Zoological Gardens - Hermann Park
The Zoo Friends of Houston, Inc. have created a new addition to and renovation of the Reptile building. The Houston Parks Board was retained by the Zoo Friends to oversee the design and construction of this $800,000 project. Located on the zoo property in Hermann Park, the building features reptiles and amphibians from around the world, including two Komodo Dragons and several Crocodile Monitor lizards housed in the new Albert and Margaret Alkek Exhibit, and a new expanded exhibit for Blanco the White Alligator.
